The Shubh Aangan Anaerobic Septic Tank provides an efficient solution for the collection, settling and biological treatment of domestic wastewater.
Inside the tank, suspended solids settle at the bottom while anaerobic microorganisms break down biodegradable organic matter in the absence of oxygen. This helps reduce the organic load, sludge volume and unpleasant odour before the partially treated effluent moves to a soak pit, dispersion system or additional treatment unit.
Its prefabricated FRP construction offers better protection against corrosion, leakage and environmental damage compared with many conventional septic tank structures. The tank is lightweight, factory-manufactured and can be customized according to project capacity and site requirements.

How Does the Anaerobic Septic Tank Work?
1. Wastewater Inlet
Domestic sewage from toilets and other approved sanitary sources enters the tank through a properly connected inlet pipeline.
2. Sedimentation
Heavier solid matter settles at the bottom of the tank and forms a sludge layer. Lighter materials such as oil and grease rise to the top and form a scum layer.
3. Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic microorganisms break down biodegradable organic matter without requiring continuous aeration. This process helps stabilize the collected waste and reduce its organic strength.
4. Internal Separation
Depending on the selected model, internal chambers or baffles increase the wastewater retention time and prevent excessive solids from reaching the outlet.
5. Treated Effluent Outlet
The partially treated effluent exits the tank and is directed to an approved soak pit, leach field, polishing chamber or further treatment system, depending on local regulations and site conditions.
Septic-tank effluent is not automatically suitable for drinking, direct surface discharge or unrestricted reuse. Additional treatment and disinfection may be required.
Product Benefits
Low Operating Cost
The main anaerobic treatment process does not require continuous electrical aeration, helping reduce operating costs.
Fast Installation
The prefabricated FRP tank reaches the site ready for installation, reducing construction time and on-site labour requirements.
Corrosion Resistance
FRP does not rust and offers excellent resistance to moisture, sewage and challenging underground conditions.
Reduced Leakage Risk
The tank is manufactured as an integrated structure with sealed connections, helping minimize leakage when correctly transported and installed.
Easy Transportation
FRP construction provides strength at a comparatively lower weight, making transportation and handling easier.
Customizable Capacity
Tank capacity, dimensions, inlet and outlet positions, chambers and accessories can be customized according to the site and expected sewage load.
Available Customizations
We can manufacture the Anaerobic Septic Tank according to customer and project requirements, including:
- Tank capacity
- Length, width and height
- Horizontal or vertical configuration
- Number of treatment chambers
- Inlet and outlet pipe diameter
- Inlet and outlet locations
- Inspection and maintenance openings
- Internal baffles and partitions
- FRP wall thickness and reinforcement
- Underground or site-specific installation design
- Additional filtration chamber
- Chlorination or disinfection chamber
- Connection with a soak pit or polishing system

Installation Requirements
For safe and reliable performance:
- The tank must be installed on a stable and properly prepared base.
- Excavation dimensions should allow sufficient working clearance.
- Inlet and outlet pipes must be correctly aligned and sealed.
- Proper anchoring may be required where groundwater levels are high.
- Backfilling must be performed evenly using approved material.
- Heavy vehicle loads should not pass over the tank unless a suitable structural slab has been designed.
- Adequate ventilation and inspection access must be provided.
- A suitable soak pit or downstream treatment system must be selected according to soil and site conditions.
- Installation should be completed according to the approved technical drawing.
Operation and Maintenance
Although the system has low maintenance requirements, periodic servicing is necessary:
- Inspect inlet, outlet and access openings regularly.
- Prevent plastic, sanitary pads, cloth, chemicals and non-biodegradable materials from entering the tank.
- Avoid excessive use of strong disinfectants that may disturb anaerobic microorganisms.
- Check sludge accumulation periodically.
- Arrange desludging when sludge reaches the specified limit.
- Use trained personnel and appropriate safety procedures for cleaning.
- Never enter a septic tank without professional confined-space safety arrangements.
- Keep maintenance openings properly closed and secured.
10-Year Warranty
The Shubh Aangan Anaerobic Septic Tank is supplied with a 10-year warranty* against eligible manufacturing defects in the FRP tank structure.
The warranty is generally subject to:
- Installation according to approved instructions
- Proper handling, transportation and storage
- Operation within the designed capacity
- Correct foundation, anchoring and backfilling
- Regular inspection and scheduled maintenance
- Use only for approved wastewater applications
The warranty does not normally cover damage caused by incorrect installation, accidental impact, overloading, improper excavation or backfilling, groundwater uplift, unauthorized modification, unsuitable chemicals, fire, natural disasters or failure of third-party civil and piping work.
Final warranty coverage will be governed by the written quotation, warranty certificate and terms supplied with the product.
